Is this possible on a $600 budget? I am happy with used and I have access to boom stands, cables, mixers, etc from my bro-in-law. However, I also rent out our local Steinway hall here in Alpharetta GA every 6 months for recitals and would love to start recording the kids, so it would be nice if whatever I buy to record on my piano with would also translate to a grand as well. It came in to my posession for a mere $200 last year :D I just had the original action rebuilt (the pads were completely worn flat) and countless dead keys repaired and it is now an absolute joy to play. My piano is an old Mason and Hamlin upright grand (1920s) that was given a beauty lift in 2000 with walnut veneer and new keys.
Since its something I would like to do as a future hobby, I want to know if there are just two mics out there I could buy to take care of my piano recording needs. She's trying to start a YouTube channel and I would like to start recording myself and my dad playing for genealogical purposes.
